An Online Book Store for All Hubbers

It may have come to your attention that a growing number of Hubbers are becoming published or self-published authors, whether in book or in e-book format (or both). Do you ever have the impression that each is fighting his or her lonely fight? Of course, some are assisted by publishers, agents, and consultants. But as far as Hubbers helping each other, the mutual assistance by and large seems to be limited to good advice on the forum and in kindly answering other Hubbers' questions here on the site.

HubPages has some rules that are highly conducive to Hubbers helping one another create income in ways not tried before. The reason is that Hubbers may link quite freely to one another's hubs. Linking directly to the book store that I am about to describe will be acceptable in hubs that concern books advertised and/or reviewed in the store, as well as hubs concerning a Hubber's experiences and thoughts on how to get published, how to market one's book etc..

How this will work

If you have published a book or an e-book, or are planning to do so in the future, here is an idea that may interest you. A book store especially for Hubbers will be established. The only requirement is that those who have books listed there must link to the store, either directly or by linking to this hub. Fair enough?

What will be established is a website subdvivided into topic areas, which will make books and e-books easy to find. Images will be inserted, corresponding to the book covers by taking copies of these images from the places where the books are posted for sale (e.g. Amazon, Smashwords, Lulu etc.). The online store may also provide a short description of each book, just enough to identify the author, title, formats, price and other key information. Book reviews may also be added.

How this will help

There are no restrictions concerning Hubbers linking to one another's hubs. By linking to this hub, all Hubbers can be supportive of one another's publishing endeavors without it costing them anything at all. Links can be generated as textual links or as a linking capsule. Another idea is to insert an image into your hub, and then provide the link to this hub or the book store as the source beneath the image.

How will this benefit published and self-published authors

The main benefit is obviously added exposure and more visits by potential customers at zero cost. If you are self-published or published anywhere, all sales proceeds will go to you directly. I will merely link from this hub to the store, and further from my website to any place where your book or e-book is being offered for sale. You keep 100% of all proceeds, since there is no middleman, this hub and the store are merely a traffic generator and free advertisement platform.
